Who We Are & Why We Exist

Roots to Resource Connection is a mission-driven, for-profit social enterprise. We help companies fulfill their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals by connecting them with small farms in need. We help organizations create impactful opportunities for employee volunteerism and community engagement.

Our work is rooted in a strategic system of support that blends sponsor partnerships, land-based education, and civic participation. Through our public-facing platform, we:

  • Mobilize volunteers to meet urgent farm labor needs

  • Spark intergenerational interest in sustainable agriculture

  • Position farms as living classrooms and centers of community connection

By aligning purpose with action, we build lasting relationships between people, land, and community—nurturing a cycle of support that sustains both farms and those who rely on them.

Our Misson

An expansive farm scene features a large field of crops with a green combine harvester working alongside a red truck with a large white trailer. The landscape extends across flat, fertile farmland, with multiple sections of fields in various shades of brown and green. Buildings and silos are visible in the distant background under a sky with scattered clouds.

Why it Matters

Aerial view of a contrasting agricultural landscape with lush green fields and freshly plowed brown soil. Two tractors are visible, one red and one green, working in the field. A flock of birds appears to be following the tractors, likely searching for insects. The fields have distinct patterns and lines, indicating organized farming practices.
